Can Horses Eat Strawberries
Yes, horses can safely eat strawberries. Strawberries are a sweet, safe treat for our horses to have in moderation. Be sure to wash them before offering them to your horse, as they may have residual pesticides or chemicals on them. Cutting them into smaller pieces is also helpful, in order to prevent choking.

How Many Strawberries Can Horses Eat?
Like anything we give our horses as a treat, strawberries should be offered in moderation. A general guideline is no more than 6-10 strawberries weekly, and only once per day. Due to their naturally high sugar content, make sure you don’t overfeed them, as high sugar diets are not ideal for our equine partners. Colic is also a risk when we add things to our horses’ diet, so be careful to not overfeed strawberries.
How Should I Feed Strawberries to My Horse?
Feed them in their natural state after washing them. Ensure they are free from mold and pesticides, and offer the strawberries in small pieces to prevent choking. Lastly, limit the amount you feed to approximately 10 per week.
